Description
I finished and framed the project. I never thought I would finish it this early. The stitching has been challenging at parts but I think I learned a quite a bit.
For those who don't recognize the character: This is Death from the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett.
Final size: 111 by 155 stitches (111 by 168 stitches on pattern. I had to shorten the height to fit the frame).
Materials used: 14 count Aida, DMC cotton yarn in 11 colors, sewing needle, scissors, embroidery hoop, and some masking tape (and lots of nerves).
Pattern: made from a picture of 'Death with Steepled Hands' by Paul Kidby and using KG-chart and GIMP (color filtering).
Time used: Started in mid-April and finished on November 9 in 2014.
