Pencil Case WIP

Here's a picture of what I've been up to the last two (almost three) weeks. The zipper of my pencil case just had to start to disintegrate (plastic loops are getting loose from the fabric). I would repair it but it's a leather pencil case and I don't have the things needed. So I decided to make one myself, one I can repair each and every part of if need be.
The outer hull (picture) consists of three parts: the two round pieces at the end and rectangle. I've changed colors (dark blue and light beige) after every second row, used single crochets, chain stitches and slip stitches and sewed the parts together by hand.
Now I just need to iron the fabric for the lining, cut it and sew everything together (maybe this weekend).
